What is a Machine Readable Passport (MRP) and how do you get one?
A Machine Readable Passport (MRP) is an electronic document that allows the holder to use a biometric (fingerprint or face) to identify himself/herself for the purpose of identification and verification. It is a document that is accepted by all the institutions in Bangladesh for the purpose of identification and verification of identity.
How do you apply for an MRP?
There are two methods of application: online and offline. If you want to apply online, you need to go to the Passport Office of Bangladesh and submit the necessary information.
